PetJoy AI Bridge Privacy Policy

PetJoy AI Bridge is a companion browser extension for the PetJoy macOS desktop app. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used.

Single Purpose

PetJoy AI Bridge connects supported AI chat websites with the local PetJoy desktop app running on the user’s computer. It lets PetJoy detect supported AI pages, send prompts requested by the user, and return assistant responses back to the desktop app.

Information the Extension Handles

PetJoy AI Bridge may handle the following information when the user uses the extension with a supported AI chat page:

• The URL and title of the active supported AI chat tab.
• The user’s prompt that PetJoy sends to the supported AI chat page.
• The assistant response returned by the supported AI chat page.
• Local extension state, such as a local context identifier and tab session mappings.

The extension does not collect personal identity information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, precise location information, or browsing history from unrelated websites.

How Information Is Used

The information handled by the extension is used only to provide the local bridge between supported AI chat websites and the PetJoy desktop app.

PetJoy AI Bridge communicates with the local PetJoy desktop app through localhost only:

• ws://127.0.0.1:8765
• http://127.0.0.1:8765

The extension does not send browsing data, prompts, chat responses, or other user data to a PetJoy-operated remote server.

Supported Websites

This release supports the following AI chat websites:

• ChatGPT
• Doubao
• Gemini
• Kimi
• DeepSeek

The extension requests host permissions only for localhost and these supported AI chat websites. It does not request access to all websites.

Data Storage

PetJoy AI Bridge stores limited local state in the browser, such as a local context identifier and tab session mappings. This data is stored locally in the user’s browser and is used to reconnect the extension to the local PetJoy app after Chrome suspends or restarts the extension service worker.

Data Sharing

PetJoy AI Bridge does not sell user data and does not share user data with advertisers or data brokers.

The extension does not transmit user data to a PetJoy-operated remote backend. If the local PetJoy desktop app is configured by the user to use a third-party AI provider, that provider’s terms and privacy policy apply to requests made by the desktop app.

Remote Code

PetJoy AI Bridge does not use remote code. The extension executes only JavaScript files packaged with the extension.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated when PetJoy AI Bridge changes how it handles information. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
